Deck Restorations Warranty
Decks / Gazebos / Play-Sets / Trellises / Houses
Our warranty is not intended to imply that the wood surface will maintain its original color as when first applied.
When our finish is first applied, it has a dark appearance, and over time will gradually become lighter in
appearance and eventually the wood surface will fade to a gray state.
This “lightening” of the color will not affect the protective quality of the preservatives.
- • Our warranty covers 100% of labor and materials, from wood surfaces that are sealed with our finish to fading of wood back to its original gray state.
- • From date of its application, our finish carries a 12-month warranty for walking surfaces and a 3-year warranty for upright surfaces and is guaranteed against lifting or peeling.
- • All warranties are fully transferrable.
- • Some wood species have tree sap that may naturally leach out of the wood. In that event, Deck Restorations will recoat the areas affected by the tree sap. Because of the unpredictability of wood and its natural properties, the leaching of sap may continue to occur. The Deck Restorations warranty covers the first visit only; subsequent visits are subject to an additional fee.
- • In the event caustic cleaners (i.e. bleach, harsh soaps, wood brighter, wood cleaners, salt etc.) are applied to the wood surface treated by Deck Restorations, the warranty is void.
- • Solid body stains carry a 12-month warranty on the entire wood surface when applied to decks, gazebos, play-sets and trellises.
Exotic Woods
(i.e. Brazilin Walnut / IPE / African Perduek)
Deck Restorations recommends that exotic woods be cleaned and resealed
yearly. Because these types of woods have a dense cell structure, the
stain simply is not able to penetrate as deeply. It is recommended that
decks or fences built with exotic woods of woods be treated at least on
a yearly base.
Composite Decks
There is no implied warranty on the product when used on these types of
woods.
Solid Stain applied to Decks / Gazebos / Play-sets / Trellis
Solid color stains provide a rich, opaque color that hides the wood
grain while allowing the wood texture to show through.
- • Solid body stains carries a 2-year warranty for walking surfaces and a 3 year on uprights.
- • Warranty periods start from the date of completion.
- • All warranties are fully transferable.
- • Deck Restorations’ warranty will not cover scratches from moving and dragging of furniture, pet nails, or accidental chipping of the wood surface, etc.
- • Moss, mildew and algae growth are not covered under our warranty.
Concrete
There is no implied warranty for any concrete washing/sealing.
